PreTrain Review

The one and only thing I look for in a pre-workout supplements is reliability. I need to be sure that every time I throw a scoop or 2 of my chosen powder down my neck I’m going to have an amazing workout. I need to know that every scoops is going to bring focus, stimulation, insane pumps and with no crash half way through my workout. The basics also need to be in good order, taste, mixability and even down to the packaging. In my experience if a company uses low quality packaging, chances are the product will be of the same quality.

The fact we can actually feel the different ingredients in a good pre-workout supplement working is what makes them so addictive. Whether it’s the stimulating effect of caffeine, the head tingling effect of the Beta Alanine or the extra blood flow caused by L-Arginine. And what makes things more appealing is these ingredients giving us crazy focus and energy are also benefiting out workouts

Now we’ll get on to PreTrain…

First of all the packaging, its modern, good quality and you can find all the ingredients, doses and usage instructions on the packaging which is always a good start. It’s especially useful to people who might be a bit sensitive to certain ingredients. The mix ability is also really good, the product is nice and fine with no hard lumps and it doesn’t froth up and blow the top of your shaker off. The blue raspberry flavour also taste amazing. I think it’s safe to say Adapt Nutrition have nailed it so far !!

The Ingredients….

On looking at the ingredients it’s safe to say Adapt Nutrition have gone for quality over quantity when developing PreTrain. PreTrain delivers the correct dosages backed up by research of the most effective ingredients to be taken pre-workout. Let’s take a look…..

Caffeine, Vitamin B6 Vitamin B12 ( Energy and focus )

Vitamin B6 and B12 work together to provide mental focus and play a huge role in energy production along with healthy nerve function. Caffeine is dosed at 300mg which gives you an awesome kick by making the central nervous system run faster carrying you through even the longest of workouts.

L-Arginine AKG ( Alpha-Ketoglutarate )

L-Arginine is a nitric oxide boosting none essential amino acid. NO is produced by the cells that line blood vessels causing them to dilate thus increasing blood flow to the muscles. The added AKG assists in the vasodilation of the blood vessels and also improves arginine absorption.

Beta Alanine

Beta Alanine is a non-essential amino acid that, in every single human study has been shown to raise muscle carnosine concentrations. Basically carnosine is a peptide that enables us to train at a high intensity for a longer period of time helping to fight of fatigue.

L-Citrulline Malate

Citrulline is an amino acid power house, endurance athletes have been supplementing with this for years as it delays the onset of fatigue during intense exercise. Citrulline also increases the amount of arginine in the blood which we already know increases blood flow for huge pumps. It’s safe to say Citrulline Malate enables us to train loner and recover faster.

Betaine TMG

Studies on Betaine have shown massive increases in strength and power whilst dropping body fat simultaneously. This is because of the huge increase in protein and Creatine synthesis.

These are just a handful of the ingredients in PreTrain but as you can see there al geared around training output. This is the reliability I was talking about, taking this concoction of ingredients is going to get you smashing through personal bests with immense intensity time and time again.

To summarise…

Adapt Nutrition have well and truly nailed it with PreTrain. It ticks every single box I look for and I can honestly say since using it I have never had a bad workout. Most workouts I have actually hit some sort of PB weather it be in weight or more reps, it’s certainly helped in increasing my intensity and focus to smash through workouts. Another really good point to make which is the trouble with many pre-workouts I have used is, if you miss dose and take too much it won’t bloat you or leave you running for the toilet in the middle of your workout.

Prior to using this I had tried nearly every single pre-workout going, for probably the past year I have always stuck to the same product. Since my first sachet of PreTrain I have never gone back and if this is anything to go by I’m really looking forward to trying the rest of their products.
